SAN DIEGO CHARGERS GRANT AWARDED TO AES
Alpine Elementary School first grade teacher, Judy Dietrich, was recently awarded a $9,000 grant by the San Diego Chargers Community Foundation. Mrs. Dietrich has worked tirelessly on this grant for the last two years hoping to obtain funding for a quality physical fitness program at Alpine Elementary School. The Chargers Community Foundation created the Chargers Champions School Grant Program to assist schools in their mission to provide high level physical fitness programs and to educate and encourage their students to make healthy lifestyle choices.
Alpine Elementary School is very fortunate to have a teacher who is so passionate about physical education at her school site. Mrs. Dietrich spent many personal hours developing her grant proposal and with the support of the Alpine Elementary School staff and administration was successful in obtaining this $9,000 grant. These monies will be spent on enhancing the physical education program for all students at AES.
The staff at Alpine Elementary School would like to thank and applaud the time and effort Mrs. Dietrich has given to this project so, as she says, “Our students can be the best they can be!” Congratulations AES and Mrs. Dietrich for their dedication toward student success!
